new best friends. aka christmas elves. aka the zone leaders.

on a good day elder scott and elder hunt reach 5'6"
but this does not stop them from being overly enthusiastic and always having a grin on their faces.

only just 3 days after transfers, they were giggling like school girls,
struggling to get to places even with 2 GPS systems,
and always ended their nights with tickle fights.

WE'RE NOT KIDDING.

can we just talk about that time when they wanted us to text them mormon pick-up lines?

EXAMPLE:

"are you a gadianton robber? cause you just stole my heart."

or how about when we couldn't answer the phone and it sent an automated text message in spanish.
this is what we got in return...

" hombre pregunta bano perro pina poquito el estrella haranja rojo verde cafe azul amarillo pollo hola bueno mucho malo feliz navidad trabajo y amor. planchado facil sobrellene pruebe hojita armarios ayuda a eliminar la estatica de la ropa temperatura nueva resultados fibras."

yes, a random collaboration of all the palabras.

no worries, there's more to come.

so our first encounter with them included conversation of getting to know each other,
deciding that the awkward space between elders and sister is FAR too big,
reminiscing of areas past, discussing the progress of the work and our divine purpose of being in Decatur,
and of course, many harry potter references.

// because lesbe honest, we're all harry potter fans here.

→ let's just say that J is totally obsessed with all things potter
and was crushed when she didn't receive an acceptance letter to hogwarts.
she's still convinced that it didn't come because of the shotty owl system.

she even has a wand that is kept in the car only to be used when
pointing it at stoplights and shouting "verde!"
this potter love has rekindled B's childhood memories of the boy who lived
and all his wizardly adventures. so much that she can't wait to once again relive
the pages of these books upon returning home.

and boy did they take this to an extreme. they conjured up a point system fro this transfer.

// points will be awarded for:
→ getting home on time
→ handing out Books of Mormon
→ inviting others to baptism
→ and so on....

the prize being the house cup of course!
#hufflepuffsgottheirsightsonit

we introduced ourselves by answering questions such as

"what would your favorite class at hogwarts be?"

"who would be your best friend at hogwarts?"

"what would your boggart be?"

and then finishing with your companion's patronus.

who ever said missionary work wasn't fun?
it's all about unity and incentive.

NBD, the 2L's are pretty much genius and admitted they got all their good ideas from us :)

the best part is they are super great missionaries and are awesome examples.
we are pumped for the next 5 weeks full of wizardly magic, daring deeds, and most of all,
helping others come unto christ.

< oh and in case you were wondering... >

J is a polar bear. porque she is supaahh hot all.the.time. and knows how to have fun and is from alaska. and what's not to love about a cute AND cuddly polar bear?

B is an owl. she is very knowledgeable and loves sleep, but could stay up all night. she loves writing letters and if we're sticking with the potter theme, owls always deliver mail. and she's just so fluffy AND adorable.

over and out
we've got a house cup to win

♥ much love,
      J & B
